About

Wreckless Blenders began in a dusty Sacramento basement when a small band of scientists discovered they loved making wine and lived close to wine grape country. Glass carboys turned into modified beer kegs, then oak barrels, then a Carmichael micro-winery built around friendship, patient cellar work, and a sense of humor that never takes the wine less seriously.

Basement beginnings

The earliest wines came from shared curiosity and nearby grapes. The Blenders learned by doing: fermenting, tasting, adjusting, and letting the next vintage teach the next lesson.

Carmichael cellar

In 2007 the Blenders set up shop as a friendly neighborhood winery in Carmichael, making roughly 100 cases a year with minimal intervention and a preference for wines with personality.

The Blenders

The live site has long introduced Wreckless Blenders through John Troiano (JT), Dave Ashukian, John Nichols (Rocket), and Jimbo Brown: a small crew whose friendships are as much a part of the cellar as the barrels.

Drink Wred

The W is silent, the labels are loud, and the wines keep the same founding idea alive: make something memorable with friends, grapes, patience, and just enough wrecklessness.
